The first completely new Holden of the 1960’s. A new body style was implemented and the addition to the range was the Premier, the name which identified a luxurious Holden.
The first Premier had leather covered bucket seats, a heater, wool pile carpet, white wall tyres and a floor console. The Premier also had the first metalic paint on a holden.
The EJ was the first Holden to have Safety belt anchorages.
The one millionth Holden was an EJ.
